According to survey done by the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia, or CPSA, demand for tattoo removals is currently at a notable high in Australia. CPSA reports that “at least one in four Australians above the age of 20 have a tattoo and a third of these have expressed their regret in doing so in later years.” Research has shown that the rise in inquiries reached an astounding 300 per cent. Common reasons People’s most common reasons for having tattoos removed range from spelling mistakes to the removal of a former partner’s name. Some have regrets over the design they got and some simply outgrew their love for tattoos. The largest number of people who have decided to have their tattoos removed are between the ages of 20 and 30. This shows that a high number of young Australians who have tattoos that have later decided that they would rather be without them.
